Lyqento ("we", "us") is an international remote staffing company that connects companies with vetted remote professionals. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

We collect only what we need to respond to you and to run our placement process:

• Client enquiries: name, company, work email, phone, company website, and the role requirements you submit through our hiring form.
• Candidate applications: name, contact details, location and timezone, work history, skills, language levels, availability, salary expectations and any CV or portfolio you share.
• Website usage: basic technical data such as browser type, device type, referring page and approximate region, collected through essential and analytics cookies.

We do not ask for special-category data and request that you do not include it in free-text fields.

• To respond to hiring requests and prepare candidate shortlists.
• To assess candidate suitability and present profiles to relevant client companies.
• To communicate about interviews, onboarding, contracts and ongoing placements.
• To operate, secure and improve our website and services.
• To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

• Contract: processing needed to provide staffing services you or your employer requested.
• Legitimate interests: running our recruitment operations, business communication and service security, balanced against your rights.
• Consent: optional marketing messages and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: where retention or disclosure is required by applicable law.

We share personal data only where necessary:

• With client companies, when we present a candidate profile — always with the candidate's agreement.
• With service providers who host our website, email, storage and applicant records under contract.
• With professional advisers, or authorities where a valid legal request applies.

We do not sell personal data.

We operate across multiple regions, so your data may be processed outside your country. Where that happens, we use recognised transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses with the receiving party.

We keep client enquiry data for as long as the commercial relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Candidate profiles are kept in our talent network so we can contact you about suitable roles; you can ask us to remove your profile at any time and we will delete it unless we must retain records for legal reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing, to receive a copy of your data in portable form, and to withdraw consent.

To exercise a right, email privacy@lyqento.com. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We use access controls, encrypted connections and vetted providers to protect personal data, and we limit internal access to team members who need it. No system can be guaranteed fully secure, so please avoid sending sensitive documents by unprotected email.

We may update this policy as our services evolve. The date at the top reflects the latest version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
